Why does Palma ask for "Always Allow" location?

To keep recording your route while your screen is locked or you switch apps mid-run, iOS requires background location permission ("Always Allow"). Palma only tracks location while a run you started is in progress — you'll see iOS's blue location indicator whenever tracking is active. When you stop the run, tracking stops.

My run didn't appear in the Camino tab

Strava is the source of truth for finished runs: Palma uploads your run to Strava, and a scheduled sync then pulls it back into your history. That means a just-finished run can take a little while to appear. Until a run is uploaded (or you discard it), it's kept safely on your device in the pending list — failed uploads are never lost.

How do I connect Strava?

Finish a run and tap Connect Strava. Safari opens Strava's consent page and bounces you back into Palma. Keep the "Upload your activities" permission checked, or uploads won't work. You can disconnect at any time from Strava's settings.

Do my Apple Watch runs show up?

Yes — grant Palma read access to Apple Health and workouts recorded on your watch appear in the app. Palma doesn't write anything to Apple Health today.

The app was killed mid-run. Did I lose it?

No. The in-progress run is checkpointed every few seconds. When you reopen Palma it restores the buffered run — and if iOS kept the location task alive, it will have kept tracking the whole time.

Your coach. He runs a six-week Base Building plan (three runs a week, with a cutback week) and writes you one short message each morning based on your streak, your mileage, today's workout, and the day's feast. If you're offline, he still has something to say — he just keeps it brief.

How do I delete my account and data?
